Gopalganj is a town, municipality and headquarters of Gopalganj district in the Indian state of Bihar. Goplaganj is the headquarters of district. Modern District that we see now days comes in existence on October 2, 1973. On this day it became ab independent district. beafore that it was a sub-division of chhapra district.
